Chapter 329
‘If Monroe heard this, he’d probably blow a gasket. Landon was silent for a moment before sighing, “You’re really somethings”
Monica, completely lovestruck, didn’t catch the shade at all and just basked in the praise.
“Of course! I’m the Montgomery family’s heiress!” she declared proudly.
“Right, the future leader of the Mystic Sect!” Landon replied smoothly.
“As long as you know. Now scram–stop hanging around in front of me,” Monica said, tilting her chin up with a haughty air.
‘Good, at least she knows about the Mystic Sect. Looks like the only thing she’s clueless about is Marvel’s existence Landon thought
After all, as Monroe’s only daughter, she’s destined to inherit everything Monroe worked so hard to build.
Landon staggered to his feet and made his way toward the terrace.
Apparently, the drug still had some kick left in it–his legs felt like jelly with every step.
“Honey, just a little longer, and dinner will be ready,” Monica said, turning to Paul with a sweet smile.
Paul felt a knot of unease in his stomach.
Ever since Monroe left home this time, he hasn’t cared about anything–not even noticing that the security cameras at home were broken.
‘He must be up to something big,’ Paul thought. ‘With the Flying Tiger Sect keeping quiet, the most urgent thing now was to break the love spell on Monica. Looks like my peaceful days were about to come to an end.
‘These two weeks just happened to be Monica’s ovulation period–she should be able to get pregnant, right? Since she’s the only daughter, her first kid would for sure be the next young master of the Mystic Sect! That would make me the one really pulling all the strings behind the scenes.”
“Monica, have you been feeling okay lately?” Paul asked.
“No, why?” she replied.
“Think about it–like, feeling extra tired or craving sour foods?” he pressed.
Monica might be under a love spell, but she wasn’t stupid.
She caught on to what he meant right away, her cheeks flushing. “Honey, do you want a baby?”
“Yeah! If we could have a baby…” The thought flashed through Paul’s mind.
‘Not only would I be able to save my own skin, but my standing in the family would be rock solid,‘ he thought.
“Then you’d better work extra hard, honey!” Monica said, winking suggestively.
Paul felt a shiver run down his spine.
‘Seriously, what more does she want from me? I’m already wrung dry today!‘ he thought.
“If we have a baby, that’ll be the fruit of our love. I’ll make sure he becomes the most distinguished person in the world,” Monica said.
Paul scoffed inwardly. ‘The young master of the Mystic Sect might be noble, but he’s definitely not the most distinguished person in the world.” ‘There’s always someone out there who’s better, always a bigger fish in the sea. Just look at the descendants of royalty—they’re in a league of their own.’
Chapter 329
“What? You don’t believe me?” Monica pouted, sticking out her red lips in a dramatic sulk
“We don’t need him to be the most distinguished person in the world as long as he inherits the Mystic Sect, that’s good enough” Paid
Monica, acting all spoiled, poked his cheek. “Being the leader of the Mystic Sect is already the most distinguished in the world!”
Paul was speechless.
‘There’s just no getting through to her! Whatever, let her think what she wants,‘ he thought.
“Bet you didn’t know this–my mom’s actually a princess,” Monica announced.
Paul nearly jumped. “W–What?”
“Yeah, my mom! She’s royalty from Cytatia. If she hadn’t gotten sick, we would’ve moved back there ages ago,” Monica said.
“Wait, isn’t your mother the daughter of the Kyle family?” Paul was starting to wonder if Monica was imagining things.
He’d served the Montgomery family for years, and as far as he remembered, Monica’s mother was a gentle, beautiful woman of mixed blood.
According to the Kyle family, that mixed bloodline actually came from her grandmother’s side, and it just showed up more obviously in Monica’s mother,
‘How could Mrs. Montgomery possibly be royalty from Cytatia?‘ Paul couldn’t help but think.
“Kind of, I guess! Anyway, it’s too complicated to explain,” Monica waved it off and changed the subject.
Paul was even more convinced that Monica was just making things up.
He hadn’t seen Monica’s mother in years. Outwardly, everyone said she was sick, but honestly… heh, she’d been gone for ages.
Monica was the only one innocent enough not to know the truth.
Soon, the takeout arrived.
“Ugh, what a pain. With no servants around, I have to get the takeout myself,” Monica grumbled.
Paul said, “I’ll go get it!”
“No, you’re injured. Just rest,” Monica replied.
‘That’s thoughtful…‘ Paul thought.
Paul felt a surge of pride and satisfaction, settling comfortably in the living room to wait.
He waited and waited–ten minutes passed, but Monica still hadn’t come back.
Paul got up, limping as he hobbled outside to take a look.
But Monica was gone.
“Miss Montgomery? Miss Montgomery?” he called but several times, but there was no response.
Panic set in, and he called out again, “Mr. Kingsley? Mr. Kingsley?”
“I’m here,” Landon replied, jumping down from the second–floor terrace. “Is something wrong, Paul?”
“Miss Montgomery’s gone…”
Paul’s face turned pale.

“Is that so?” Landon replied coolly.
He strode over, and with a quick flick of his hand, it was done.
Paul’s vision went black, and he collapsed, unconscious.
Amelia had been exhausted from the day before and slept like a rock.
It wasn’t until the morning sunlight streamed into the room that she finally woke up.
Kayla was already up, busy making breakfast.
“Kayla, the hotel comes with breakfast,” Amelia said, shuffling out in her slippers.
“Trust me, my cooking beats anything the hotel serves,” Kayla replied with a grin, raising an eyebrow. Seeing Amelia’s cute, sleepy face, she couldn’t help but tease, “So, when are you planning to give Kimsey a little brother or sister?”
“What? Uh, that’s way off–no plans for that yet!” Amelia’s cheeks turned red, and suddenly, a very serious thought popped into her mind.
‘It all happened so fast yesterday–we didn’t even use protection!‘ Amelia thought, her heart skipping a beat.
She hurried to get dressed, planning to run out and buy the morning–after pill.
“Don’t rush. We’ll be moving to a new place after breakfast,” Kayla said.
Amelia’s heart gave a jolt, anxiety creeping in. “Did someone find us?”
“Nope,” Kayla said.
“Then why are we moving?” Amelia pressed.
“We’re going to the Kyla Villa,” Kayla replied.
Amelia remembered that place–it was basically where she’d been under house arrest before.
“Why?” Amelia couldn’t help but ask.
Kayla replied, “They’ve already infiltrated the Mystic Sect. It’s safe
for us to move back in with the Kyle Villa now.”
“Who snuck in? And what about Landon–does he even know?” Amelia blurted out, her voice trembling with both excitement and fear.
After waiting so long, they were finally making their move on the Mystic Sect.
But Landon was stuck at the Montgomery’s House all by himself–there was no way he’d know what was going on!
“He knows,” Kayla said calmly.
“So where is he now?” Amelia pressed.
Kayla reached out and gently patted Amelia’s cheek. “He and Tuff have already infiltrated the Mystic Sect. We’ve got a trump card up our sleeve—don’t worry.”
‘How could I not be worried?‘ Amelia fretted.
They still had no clue what things were really like inside the Mystic Sect. Just barging in like that–it was insanely dangerous!
“Last night, Night Owl made a big play. She hypnotized Monica and managed to dig up some secrets about the Mystic Sect. We might not know every

detail, but our odds are looking pretty good,” Kayla explained.
“Wait, didn’t Night Owl cough up blood and pass out last night?” Amelia asked, her voice full of concern.
“The doctor was right. That blood was just something she was obsessing over deep down. Letting it out actually did her good ayla repres
“Jeez, that really freaked me out!” Amelia let out a heavy sigh, her back already damp with
cold sweat
“Let’s have breakfast first. We’ll relocate soon,” Kayla said.
“Okay.” Marvel tossed the other two antidotes down the drain and flushed them away.
Amelia started eating heartily.
**
She couldn’t join the action on the front lines–all she could do was stay put in the back and do her best not to cause any trouble.
Not long after they finished eating, Aiden showed up in person to pick them up.
“Where’s Night Owl?” Amelia asked.
Aiden gave a wry smile. “She went to the Mystic Sect too.”
“She just used hypnosis last night–she should really be sleeping and recovering today…” Amelia started, but she cut herself off mid–sentence.
It was a bright, sunny morning, but Aiden looked like he was walking under a raincloud while everyone else was basking in the sun.
Amelia totally got why he was so down.
She was just as anxious herself.
‘Landon, you guys better come back safe and sound…‘ she prayed silently.
