Chapter 324
The afternoon sun was warm and inviting as Landon, in disguise, headed straight for the hotel where Amelia was staying
He knew she must be going crazy with worry after not seeing him for days.
But honestly, he was just as anxious–he was barely holding himself together.
As soon as he stepped into the hotel lobby, he spotted Amelia wearing a big hat.
Not wanting to draw attention, Landon sent her a telepathic message. “Honey.”
“Landon?” Amelia blurted out.
She quickly covered her mouth.
‘I must be missing him so much, I’m starting to hear his voice in my head,‘ she thought to herself.
‘There’s no way Landon could show up here. For all I know, he’s probably being tormented by Monroe right now, she thought to herself.
Amelia shook her head and decided to try her luck at the café again, hoping she might catch a glimpse of Landon.
“Honey, it’s me.”
Hearing Landon’s voice in her mind once more, Amelia stopped in her tracks and glanced around anxiously.
And when she finally spotted that familiar figure dressed in black, she couldn’t hold back her tears–they welled up uncontrollably in her eyes.
‘Is that really him? It really is him!‘ she thought.
Night Owl, who was with her, noticed too and gave her a tug. “This isn’t the right place for this. Go back to your room.”
Amelia nodded vigorously and turned toward the elevator.
Landon followed closely behind.
Night Owl found a seat by the window in the lobby and sat down, a faint smile appearing on her usually cold face.
‘When love is this strong, nothing can stand in its way,’ she thought.
‘Landon, you’re amazing!‘ she added to herself.
So, she decided not to go back to the room and interrupt them.
Amelia’s heart was pounding with nerves.
She had no idea why he would suddenly show up here, and she was worried something had gone wrong with their plan.
She forced herself to walk as if nothing was wrong, all the way back to the room.
Bang! The moment the door closed behind them/she spun around and threw herself into his arms. “How did you get here? Did something happen? Are you hurt?”
As she spoke, her hands were already reaching for his shirt, trying to check him for injuries.
Landon caught her hands and let out a low chuckle. “Honey, are you really that impatient?”
“Stop messing around. I have to check you,” Amelia said, her heart in her throat.

Chapter 324
Monica was ruthless–she was sure Monica had put Landon through hell.
Landon stopped resisting, watching her with a gentle smile.
He let her do whatever she wanted.
Amelia quickly pulled off his shirt and looked him over. When she didn’t see any injuries, she finally let out a sigh of relief.
“They didn’t hurt you?” she asked.
“No,” Landon replied.
“Then how did you get out?” she pressed.

“Monroe had an emergency and wasn’t home. I talked Monica into turning off the surveillance, and managed to throw everyone else off,” Landon explained.
Amelia stared in disbelief, completely dumbfounded.
‘Is Monica out of her mind?‘ she thought.
“That love spell is seriously dangerous. Good thing I didn’t take it. Otherwise, who knows what would’ve happened to you…” Landon said.
“Even if you had taken the love spell, I would never give up on you. No matter what, I’d bring you back,” Amelia said firmly.
Landon was stunned.
He’d just been joking around, never expecting her to be so serious about it.
“I’m serious! Nothing else matters to me anymore. I just want you to come back to me safe and sound,” Amelia said, her voice trembling with emotion.
“If you ever forget me, I’ll just make you fall in love with me all over again.
“And if you end up loving someone else by mistake, I’ll turn into a total vixen and seduce you right back,” she added with a determined glint in her eyes.
Amelia blurted it all out in one breath, her cheeks burning red.
They were practically an old married couple, but she’d never said anything like that before.
She was so bold when she said it, but now that the words were qut, she was blushing with embarrassment.
But she didn’t regret it.
Landon’s situation with the Montgomery family was so tough–she just wanted to lay all her cards on the table and put his mind at ease.
“Amy…” Landon pulled her into his arms, hugging her fiercely.
His embrace was so broad, so warm.
Amelia closed her eyes, drinking in his scent like she couldn’t get enough. “These past few days, I’ve been staying with Night Owl. Sometimes she talks about her and Dawson. I just feel so lucky—we’re still alive, and we’re together…”
“Silly, we’ll always be together, through life and death. Nothing will ever tear us apart,” Landon said, his heart twisting with emotion.
He wondered just how many possibilities she must have imagined before she could become so open–hearted and accepting.
She didn’t care about anything else, as long as he was okay…
“Don’t overthink it. Just get some rest. Everything’s under my control, and it’ll all be over soon,” Landon said softly.

Chapter 324
Landon kissed Amella on the forehead, then looked around inside the suite. “Which one’s your room?
“Over there.” Amelia pointed to the right.
It was a suite with two bedrooms, but since Night Owl hadn’t been feeling well, Amella had the hotel add an extra bed to fight Ovit’s room so the two of
them could share a room.
All her clothes and stuff were still in her own bedroom.
Landon scooped her up and carried her straight toward the room.
His body was burning hot, and his heart was racing.
Every breath between them was charged with electricity.
Amelia could tell what he was up to and whispered, “Isn’t this a bit risky in a hotel…?”
“Night Owl won’t come up.” Landon just smiled knowingly, scooped her up, and laid her down on the bed, his touch lingering with deep affection
“Wait,” Amy stopped him. “You risked so much to come back–shouldn’t we talk about the important stuff first?”
“This is the important stuff,” Landon replied, and kissed her hard. “Everything that needed to be said has already been said. Today, I came back just for
you.”
‘He comes back and just wants to jump me? Can’t even hold himself back for a second?‘ Amelia thought to herself.
She couldn’t help but tease him, “Why are you acting like some lovesick teenager?”
“Don’t you miss me?” Landon paused, his fingers gently brushing against her earlobe.
“Of course I do! I missed you so much I almost cried last night. Night Owl had to keep me company for half the night,” Amelia said, wrapping her arms around his neck. “But you’re always so busy with important things. Did you really just come back for me?”
Landon’s heart twinged with tenderness as he pulled her hand to his lips and kissed it. “The moment I walked in, you couldn’t wait to strip me down. Tell me, what could possibly be more important than you?”
Amelia couldn’t help but snort with laughter.
Her face, thinner than before, was positively glowing with love, making her look breathtakingly beautiful.
“Honey, time for your inspection,” Landon teased with a wicked grin.
Then, like a wild stallion finally unleashed, he swept her up and claimed her with all the passion he’d been holding back.
He didn’t stop until she couldn’t take it anymore.
“Did I pay enough ‘marital dues‘?” Landon teased with a wicked grin.
“You’re just too much…” Amelia shot him a playful glare.
She pouted at him, feigning annoyance. “My waists about to snap!”
“You’ve lost weight, and I don’t like it one bit,” Landon said, his hands wrapping around her slender waist. “You need to eat well and get plenty of rest. Next time I come back, if you haven’t put on a little more, I just might have to teach you a lesson.”
“Okay, okay, I get it,” Amy quickly surrendered. “But you’ve been out for quite a while… shouldn’t you be heading back soon?”
Landon checked the time, then lay down and pulled her into his arms. “Relax, it’s still early. I’ve only been out for two hours.”

Chapter 324
“But…” Amy started, worry flickering in her eyes.
“That drug is strong enough to knock out the whole Montgomery family for the entire day. As for Monica, she’s too busy cozying up with Paul, to even notice I’m gone,” Landon replied with a relaxed grin.
Landon held Amy tightly, his long legs entwined with hers, as if he wanted to pull her right into his bones and never let her go.
Amy couldn’t stop the smile tugging at her lips, no matter how hard she tried to hide it.
He’d never been this clingy with her before.
Usually, she was the one who wrapped herself around him like an octopus, always treating him as her personal cuddle pillow.
He’d
even grumbled about it a few times.
But now, he was the one snuggling up to her like she was his favorite pillow.
“Honey, you go ahead and sleep. I’ll wake you up later,” Amelia said softly.
Landon opened his eyes a little. “You’re not sleeping with me?”
“I’m not sleepy. I’ll keep an eye on the time for you,” Amelia replied, staying alert.
Even though he said he had a whole day, she didn’t dare let him stay that long. ‘Since he’s undercover, we can’t afford to be careless,‘ she thought. ‘It’s better for him to get back to the Montgomery family sooner rather than later.‘
Landon suddenly frowned. “Aren’t you tired?”
“I’m fine,” Amelia said.
‘How could I be tired? Not when it’s for him,‘ she thought.
Landon propped himself up, a thoughtful look on his face. ‘Wait, am I slipping or something?‘ he wondered to himself.
