Amelia soon realized how badly she’d messed up. Landon wasn’t about to let her off easy. He pulled her into his arms and showered her with kisses, loving her over and over again until she was left completely spent.
“Honey, are you worn out now?” Landon teased, his voice low and playful.
“I’m wiped out…” Amelia mumbled, barely able to keep her eyes open.
“That’s what I wanted. Get some sleep now,” he said, pulling her close.
Amelia was too exhausted to even think about scolding him. She drifted off into a deep, peaceful sleep.
As for Landon’s work and the scattered papers on the floor, she didn’t care about any of them.
Landon gently tucked Amelia in, feeling content. With no desire to work, he wanted to stay by her side.
After tidying up the mess on the floor, he headed to the lounge, pulled his wife into his arms, and fell asleep with her.

Meanwhile, back in distant Lunova, Daniel sat alone, feeling down and frustrated after coaxing his wife to sleep.
‘Should I force Joanna to come out?‘ Daniel couldn’t help but ask himself.
‘Should I do it?‘ The question kept echoing in his mind.
I honestly have no idea what to do anymore,’ Daniel thought, completely lost.
He hoped Landon would resign smoothly, stay out of trouble, and live a normal, happy life with Amy.
However, Daniel also worried that disrupting Joanna’s life might ultimately affect his wedding to Edith.
This is so difficult!‘ Daniel thought, feeling completely torn.
“Honey, why aren’t you sleeping?” Edith mumbled sleepily, her voice soft and drowsy.
To ensure nothing happened during her pregnancy, they shared a bed but each had their blanket–strictly no crossing over.
Each kept to their side, making sure not to trespass into the other’s space.
“Nothing. It’s just some work stuff on my mind. You go ahead and get some rest,” Daniel said softly, trying to comfort her.
Ever since Edith got pregnant, she was more gorgeous and tempting than ever, like a peach at its sweetest.
However, the doctor had laid down the law; no bedroom fun while Edith was pregnant. Daniel had to grit his teeth and
endure it.
He shared a bed with his wife every night, but not even a cuddle or a little touch was allowed. It was pure agony for him.
Edith was innocent and completely lost in the happiness Daniel brought her, totally clueless about how much he’d been holding back lately.
She scooted closer, hugged his arm, and shut her eyes.
The two blankets merged into one. The only boundary left between them disappeared.
Daniel was at a loss for words.

The position made him painfully aware of the deep cleavage between her breasts.
It seemed like her cleavage had only gotten deeper as her pregnancy went on!
He took a few deep breaths and gave himself a sharp pinch, doing his best to tamp down the urge burning inside him.
Daniel gingerly slipped his hand free, swallowing hard as his throat worked.
As soon as he shifted, Edith woke up again, still half–asleep. “Honey?”
“I… I’m going to the bathroom. You go back to sleep,” Daniel blurted out, making a quick escape from the room.
Edith mumbled sleepily, “He’s being strange tonight…”
In the dark, Daniel’s phone suddenly lit up with a message.
Edith instantly got suspicious.
Is he cheating on me? Has he been holding it in for so long that he’s about to do something stupid?‘ she thought.
After hesitating for a moment, Edith picked up Daniel’s phone to take a look.
[Mr. Zuckerberg, we need Joanna. Please think it over carefully.]

Joanna? Edith thought, her heart skipping a beat. She never expected a mysterious message in the middle of the night would be related to Joanna.
Joanna has been out of our lives for so long. What do they want with Joanna? Why are they after her?‘ Edith’s mind spun with questions.
Edith was suddenly anxious and restless. Her hope of sleep was gone.
Daniel stepped out of the bathroom, only to find Edith sitting up against the headboard, clutching his phone.
“Edith?” he asked, his voice cautious.
“Didn’t you say you’d leave Joanna out of it?” Edith said, her lips trembling as she tried to hold back her tears.
Tears slipped down her cheeks, and she pouted, feeling utterly wronged.
“Yes, I did. What’s wrong?” Daniel replied, looking genuinely puzzled.
“What about this?” Edith demanded, holding up Daniel’s phone with the message on display.
Daniel was at a loss for words as he read the message, feeling utterly helpless.
“Why would Larry send me a message like this in the middle of the night? Doesn’t he realize Edith might see it and misunderstand? Daniel thought, frustrated.

“Honey, I know Joanna’s made a lot of mistakes, but you promised me…. Edith’s sobs grew even harder, her voice trembling
with emotion.
Daniel hurried to reassure her. “Of course, I won’t go after her anymore.”
“Then, what about this message?” Edith asked, her voice trembling-
“It’s from the Flying Tiger Sect. They want Joanna’s help, that’s all. They’re not out to hurt her,” Daniel said gently, trying to
reassure her.

“Help her? What do they even want from Joanna?”
Daniel paused, torn about whether he should finally come clean.

However, Edith thought he was trying to hide something, and felt even more hurt. “You don’t have to say it if you don’t want to. Anyway, I’m a fool and don’t understand you…
“Joanna made a clone of my dad, who is living in Dreicean,” Daniel confessed.
Edith was floored. “Cl… Clone?”
“Yep, just like you’re imagining. Two people who are the same,” Daniel said softly, gently dabbing her tears away with a tissue. “Mais is in on it, but we kept it from you. You’re expecting, and we didn’t want you getting all worked up.”
“Joanna… Edith murmured, her heart a whirlwind of emotions.
She honestly didn’t know how to feel about Joanna anymore and was completely torn.
For the longest time, Edith had believed Joanna had broken up Porter and Catherine for the sake of power, forcing herself into their relationship.
However, looking at it right now, it was about love after all.
Porter never gave Joanna the love she wanted when he was alive, so Joanna went so far as to clone Porter to get the love she’d always craved.
So, everything Joanna had fought for her whole life was to chase after a man who never loved her back.
“The Flying Tiger Sect is working on cloning, too, so they want Joanna’s expertise,” Daniel sighed, his voice gentle. “Honestly, I don’t want to disrupt her life. I think it’s best if we live our own lives. She does her thing, and we do ours. Everyone stays at peace. No need to get involved.”
“Please, turn them down!” Edith pleaded.
Cloning is a hot topic all over the world, but no country has ever gone public about actually cloning humans.
If word ever got out that Joanna had a cloned Porter, it’d bring all kinds of trouble down on them.
“Honestly, I want to refuse…” Daniel started, but couldn’t bring himself to finish the sentence, feeling conflicted.
Edith bit her lip, anxiety clear in her voice. “Are you saying you can’t turn them down?”
“They’re threatening me. If I don’t bring Joanna back to help, they won’t approve Landon’s resignation,” Daniel admitted, his voice heavy with frustration.
Edith squeezed Daniel’s hand, and she truly understood how torn up he’d been inside for the first time.
She felt a rush of gratitude for his honesty. Finally, he was letting her in.
“Honey, do you think Joanna is happy these days?” Edith asked softly, her voice full of concern.
“Yeah, she seems pretty happy now,” Daniel replied gently.
“And if Landon doesn’t step down, will that ruin Amy’s happiness?” Edith asked, her voice full of worry.
“It could… Honestly, I don’t know,” Daniel replied, sounding uncertain.
“Since we don’t know yet, let’s just wait a little longer, okay?” Edith said, her smile soft and tender. “Let Joanna hold onto her happiness for a bit more.”

Daniel stared at her in shock. “Wait, you’re saying yes?”

The Flying Tiger Sect isn’t the kind of organization you can just turn down. Even if you refuse them, they’ll track Joanna down sooner or later.” Edith sighed, sounding helpless. “We should go with the flow. Maybe that’s the only way we can help
her.”
“You’re right…”
For the first time, everything finally made sense to Daniel.
He’d been so worried about interfering with Joanna’s life that he forgot just how far the Flying Tiger Sect’s influence reached. They were everywhere.
If they truly wanted to track down cloned Porter, they wouldn’t need anyone else’s approval or cooperation.
“Edith, you’re the clever one,” Daniel said happily as he crawled back into bed, snuggling up to her like an octopus.
Edith instinctively shielded her belly with her hands to keep his leg from pressing on it.
Daniel sheepishly pulled his leg back and tucked himself under his blanket.
“Honey, is it that hard for you to hold it in?” Edith asked softly, her voice full of concern.
Daniel felt all his pent–up frustration pouring out.
“It’s about time she realized how tough this has been for me. Man, it’s not easy!‘ Daniel thought, feeling both aggrieved and a little vindicated.
Edith turned on her side. By the look on his face, she knew what was going on in his mind.
She wouldn’t have minded getting a little closer to him, but….
She rested her hand on her belly.
The baby would have something to say about that, thought Edith.
“Honey, maybe I should buy you a love doll,” Edith mumbled, clearly embarrassed.
Daniel was speechless. “Where did you even learn that?”
That’s what the doctor said…” Edith mumbled, her cheeks turning red.
“What?
Wait, the doctors in obstetrics and gynecology suggested that? Is this for real?‘ Daniel thought, utterly dumbfounded.
“Otherwise, you’ll be miserable… Getting a love doll is way better than sneaking outside to find a woman. At least that way, it doesn’t count as cheating Edith mumbled, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.
Daniel cut her off, flustered. “That’s enough, I don’t need anything like that.”
“But seeing you all miserable makes me worry, too, Edith pouted, looking all sulky.
Daniel let out a long breath, then suddenly pulled her hand into his. “You know, there are other ways we could handle this.”
