As night descended, Amelia had already awakened from a nap in the CEO’s office lounge, while Landon was still working late into the night. To respect her rest, he had refrained from turning on the leading lights. The expansive office was only lit by a desk lamp, which cast a solitary glow on the man bent over his tasks.
“Are you still busy with work?” Amelia asked, her voice soft with concern.
Landon looked up and gave her a gentle smile. “Can’t get comfortable sleeping here? I will have the driver take you home.”
“No need, I’ve had enough rest. I’ll stay with you.” Amelia sat down across from him, resting her chin in her hand as she gazed at him.
Landon looks incredibly handsome when he’s engrossed in his work, Amelia thought, her heart racing. From her vantage point, his long lashes cast delicate little shadows–she couldn’t look away. The curve of his lips was irresistibly alluring, leaving her feeling flustered.
“Done staring?” Landon paused his work, glancing up at Amelia with a blend of amusement and resignation. It was impossible to focus with her honeyed gaze fixed on him like that.
“Honey, you’re so good–looking!” Amelia’s eyes curved into crescents, her lips shimmering with a teasing smile.
Landon’s heart fluttered. “You want it?”
“Huh?” she blinked, then continued to compliment, “Not only is your face handsome, but your hands are stunning too. When you sign those papers, you look incredibly impressive!”
“Keep going.” Landon urged, as he removed his tie and unbuttoned two more buttons, revealing his collarbone and chest.
Amelia laughed heartily. “Seriously, is this your first time receiving praise?” The soft desk lamp cast playful shadows, accentuating his almost nonexistent chest and making it appear even more attractive.
“I don’t think my honey’s ever praised me before,” Landon said, his tone teasing.
Amelia blinked in surprise. “No way! I mean, you’re so great–I must’ve praised you before!”
Landon shook his head. “Nope. You only butter me up when you want something from me. Otherwise, you never praise
- me.
Amelia gave him a look of utter disbelief. “Seriously? You think I’m just flattering you?”
Am I that kind of person? she thought, feeling a bit indignant. ‘No!‘ she insisted.
“Oh? Would you like me to remind you?” Landon let out a low laugh. Thanks to her playful antics, he found it impossible to concentrate on work–he wanted to dote on her and whisper sweet nothings.
Seeing how confident he was, Amelia felt a bit embarrassed. “Even if I did, it was only because we weren’t close back then,” she insisted, trying to defend herself.
“Oh, so you believe you have a valid point? Landon retorted with a smirk. “What about the time I was in a coma? How did you bully me then?
Amelia blinked, a bit flustered. “Well, we hardly knew each other back then! We had only met once at a party–we were practically strangers. Among strangers, the one who takes control usually wins; that’s just how it goes.”
Amelia responded instantly, causing Landon to laugh in exasperation. “Your comebacks are getting sharper.”
“Of course! I’ve seen it all now,” Amelia said with a proud tilt of her chin.

Landon murmured under his breath, “Seen it all now…”
“Exactly!” Amelia said confidently.
“That’s not bad at all.” Landon said, his eyes twinkling with mischief. He abruptly stood up and leaned across the desk toward
her.
His shadow loomed over Amelia as she gazed up at him, her chin raised. “What, are you running out of arguments and resorting to brute force now?”
“Smart girl!” Landon said, his voice low and teasing. He reached out, gently tilted her chin up, and kissed her.
Amelia thought, Wow! How did a simple conversation turn into this?‘ However, she was more than willing to go along with him. They had both experienced a great deal recently.
Amelia parted her lips and took the initiative, pressing her lips softly to his. Landon’s whole body tensed. ‘Hey, that’s my move!‘ he thought, surprised.
“Honey, focus,” Amelia said, giving his cheek a light tap in mock annoyance.
Landon chuckled and indulged her, letting her do as she pleased. ‘Let’s see how well she’s picked up my moves, he thought, amused.
Amelia kissed him for what felt like ages, but she never took things further. Landon, feeling overwhelmed by her kisses, finally reached his breaking point and playfully teased, “Honey, you know we can take this to the next level now, right?”
“Oh, okay, Amelia replied. Only then did she begin to unbutton his shirt.
Even after having a baby, her touch remained feather–light and impossibly soft, as if her hands were devoid of bones. Her fingers slipped beneath his collar, gliding over his collarbone and lingering as they explored the firm contours of his chest.
Landon couldn’t help but let out a satisfied sigh, eagerly anticipating what Amelia would do next. However, instead of proceeding further, her hand unexpectedly shifted direction and began unbuttoning his shirt.
“Are you doing this on purpose?” Landon asked through gritted teeth, opening his eyes in exasperation.
“Aren’t we getting undressed? I’m just doing what you wanted,” Amelia replied, feigning innocence. For some reason, her hands wouldn’t cooperate–no matter how hard she tried, those buttons simply refused to come undone.
Landon looked down at her, utterly speechless as he observed her awkward attempts. He was beginning to genuinely suspect that she was doing this on purpose just to torment him. After what felt like an eternity, she finally managed to undo one button, only for her fingers to stumble and get caught on the next one.
“That’s it, I can’t take it anymore!” Landon exclaimed, his patience finally worn thin. He swiftly lifted her and placed her right on the desk. In one smooth motion, her top vanished in an instant.
“Ah!” Amelia gasped, quickly covering herself with her hands. “Honey, this is your office!” she exclaimed, her voice a blend of surprise and embarrassment.
“There are no cameras, Landon replied, his gaze fixed on her–just seeing her made him excited.
“But the windows…” Amelia said, her voice still tinged with worry.
“We’re way up here, no one’s gonna see us,” Landon replied, sounding unconcerned.
“But..” Amelia mumbled, her nerves still getting the better of her. She couldn’t seem to relax. The office was large, and with the curtains drawn wide open, it felt as if they were sneaking around.
Landon chuckled softly. “That’s what makes it even more exciting.”

She was sitting on the desk, while he occupied his chair, aligning his gaze with her most alluring curves. As he leaned in, he was instantly enveloped by her captivating scent and the softness that drove him wild.
“Honey…” Amelia murmured, her voice soft and breathless. With Landon holding her firmly in place, all she could do was stretch her hand across the desk, fumbling for the remote.
A brand new position, a thrilling adventure. Landon expressed his passion for her completely–wild, reckless, and utterly devoted. Amelia’s hand trembled as she pressed the remote, and the curtains gradually closed.
She let out a heavy sigh of relief. Now we’re safe. No one can see us,‘ she thought. “Timid,” Landon teased, giving the soft flesh at her waist a playful pinch.
“I have to save face!” Amelia huffed, her small, delicate face turning a deep shade of rosy red. Her cheeks radiated a soft, honeyed blush, glowing with warmth.
Landon gazed at her with deep affection, his voice full of genuine praise. “Honey, you’re stunning…”
Amelia pressed her lips together shyly. “You’re handsome too!”
The desk had been subjected to more than just paperwork today. Fortunately, it was sturdy enough to withstand the weight of their passion without collapsing. Afterwards, Landon asked, “So, how was it for you today?”
“It was wonderful. However the desk is quite uncomfortable for my back–it’s far too hard,” Amelia replied, her voice soft and sweet, her skin glowing with radiant dewiness.
Landon pulled Amelia into his arms, gently stroking her, completely captivated by her. Amelia couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re acting like you’re completely obsessed with me, like I’m your favorite little kitten.”
“Of course, I just can’t get enough of my favorite kitten,” Landon said, resting his chin on her shoulder and looking completely content.
Every moment their skin touched was pure ecstasy for Landon. If he weren’t worried about her becoming exhausted, he would be more than ready to go for another round.
“Honey, don’t even think about it!” Amelia interrupted him before he could make a move, knowing precisely what was on his mind.
Landon had no choice but to step back. “Go get some rest in the lounge. I’ll be home as soon as I finish reviewing this last project.
Amelia glanced at the papers scattered across the floor, a slight smile of embarrassment playing on her lips. She quickly got dressed and assisted him in collecting the disarrayed papers.
“No need, just go rest. I’ll take care of it,” Landon said.
Amelia jumped in, “Really, I’m not tired at all”
Landon’s brow furrowed instantly. ‘She’s not even tired? I’m completely wiped out, and she’s still full of energy?‘ he thought, feeling a bit resentful. I guess I must’ve slacked off somewhere, he mused, a wry smile flickering on his lips. ‘Nope, that won’t do. Looks like I need a rematch!‘ he resolved, determination reigniting within him.
Landon bent down and carried her to the lounge. “Seriously, I’m not tired at all. Just put me down…” Amelia protested.
“Nope!” Landon replied, his tone firm and playful.
