Chapter 362
“Daddy, is that you?” Landen asked nervously, looking up at the man who had dragged him out of the flower shop.
His mom was finally back to her beautiful self today, so he went to the flower shop to get her some flowers.
Who would’ve thought he’d bump into Jonny?
‘If only I’d known, I wouldn’t have gone out at all,‘ Landen thought.
“Not bad. You still remember what I look like,” Jonny said, flashing Landen a devilish smile.
Landen didn’t like his appearance. He scrunched up his nose and asked, “Daddy, are you here to kidnap me?”
“No,” said Jonny.
Landen’s fear shot through the roof.
He had overheard the grown–ups say his daddy had died–twice! So how was he standing here now?
Landen thought, ‘If he isn’t here to snatch me away, he must… be after my mom.
‘Ever since my mom ran into my dad in Dreicean, her health had gone downhill. She even passed out at Mrs. Prescott’s
birthday party, scaring everyone out of their wits.
‘Now my daddy is popping up again…‘
Landen was a bundle of nerves, but he didn’t dare say a word that might set his daddy off. After all, his life was in his
daddy’s hands right now.
‘Why does Daddy always come back, no matter what? It’s like he never stays dead,‘ Landen thought, feeling helpless. ‘Is he
secretly à cat with nine lives or something?‘
“Hey, you little punk, aren’t you scared of me?” Jonny suddenly turned his gaze on Landen, giving him a once–over.
How could Landen not be scared?
However, Landen mustered up his courage, shook his head, and shot back, “Why should I be scared of you? You’re my daddy.”
“You also call Tuff ‘Daddy‘,” Jonny sneered, not falling for the kid’s puppy eyes one bit.
“That’s only because you weren’t around!” Landen said, trying to sweet–talk him.
His innocent smile could melt anyone’s heart.
Too bad Jonny was immune to that kind of cuteness.
As a clone, Jonny had a deep obsession with Kayla, but he couldn’t care less when it came to his son.
To him, Landen was nothing more than a tool to threaten Kayla with.

Chapter 362
“Daddy, is this your place? It’s kinda small, but that’s cool. We can all fit just fine,” Landen said, scanning the room.
It was a small apartment of less than a thousand square feet, and it was old and dilapidated.
‘Daddy must be short on cash right now,‘ Landen thought.
Outside the window, a couple of tall buildings stood out in the distance. They were the famous landmarks of Lunova.
The place wasn’t far from the Prescott family’s residence, probably less than two miles from here.
‘Daddy’s got guts showing up like this. Who’s got his back?‘ Landen thought.
“Hey, kid, quit looking around,” Jonny said sharply, pulling the curtains shut. The apartment got a lot dimmer in an
instant.
Landen obediently sat down on the couch, waiting for a chance to escape.
He was way too little to fight Jonny. For now, Landen had to try to please Jonny to make sure he stayed safe.
‘Oh no, Mom must be freaking out right now,‘ Landen thought, feeling a pang of worry.
Meanwhile, back at the Prescott family, the grown–ups were all silent.
Jonny had shown up again. Seriously, it was too much!
“So this is Monroe’s trick…” Landon finally understood. Monroe was supposed to be under control, yet he still dared to bargain with Landon.
There could be countless Jonnys out there.
“This can’t go on. We have to wipe them all out,” Amelja said with a helpless sigh.
The last time Jonny showed up, it was a total nightmare for everyone. Now, there was another one.
‘Seriously, how many Jonnys did Monroe clone?‘ Amelia thought, exasperated.
“Maybe it’s not only one Jonny…” Landon muttered, his fists clenched tightly at his sides.
There was another successful clone in the Mystic Sect; Porter Zuckerberg.
Now, Landon couldn’t help but suspect there might be more than one cloned Porter out there.
‘Man, what a mess,‘ Landon thought.
“Honey, you still haven’t managed to quit?” Amelia asked, her heart suddenly pounding in her chest.
Landon exchanged a glance with Tuff and nodded. “No.”
“Is it because of Monroe?” Amelia asked again.

Chapter 362
“Hmm…” Landon just grunted, not hiding her feelings.
Amelia sighed again.
Anything that had to do with the Mystic Sect always ended up being about Monica’s hang–ups.
‘Is the peaceful life I’ve just regained about to get thrown into chaos again? It is so annoying… Amelia thought, feeling a wave of frustration.
“It’s not about Monica,” Landon said, wrapping his arm around Amelia’s shoulders. “She’s pregnant with Paul’s baby. Cheer up!”
“Hmm…” Amelia grunted, not hiding her feelings.
‘There’s always some psycho out there trying to steal my man. Who could be happy about that?‘ Amelia thought, feeling
frustrated.
“What are we going to do about Landen? That lunatic… There’s nothing he wouldn’t do,” Kayla said, her eyes brimming
with tears.
The confidence she’d worked so hard to rebuild crumbled the instant she heard Jonny was back.
Jonny, the psycho, was a nightmare that would haunt her forever.
“As long as he’s willing to talk, we’re not in real danger. Landen’s his son,” Tuff said.
Kayla slumped against him, trying hard not to cry as she called Aiden. “Aiden, your brother’s back… again.”
“What?” Aiden blurted out.
Aiden froze mid–stir, the ladle still in his hand as he was making medicine for Night Owl.
“You need to be careful. There could be a whole army of him out there…” Kayla warned, her voice shaking. “We can’t go through that nightmare again.”
“Kayla, what’s happening over there? Are you okay?” Aiden blurted out, panic rising in his chest.
“He’s in Lunova and took Landen… But don’t worry, Landon’s here, too. He’ll know what to do,” Kayla said, trying to sound steady.
Even though she was panicking, Kayla remembered Night Owl was still recovering and shouldn’t be out and about.
Besides, it was not safe to try hypnotizing Monroe again.
“Kayla…” Aiden cried out, his vojce full of panic.
Even over the phone, one could tell he was losing it.
“It’s fine, just giving you a heads–up so nothing blows up on your end,” Landon said, taking the phone from Kayla and speaking in a steady, reassuring tone.

Chapter 362
Aiden’s nerves finally started to settle. He slowly relaxed, feeling comforted by Landon’s words.
“I’ll keep a close watch over things here. There’s no way I’ll let him use the Kington Gang to pull any shady moves. Promise me you’ll look after Kayla and Landen, alright?” Aiden said, his tone firm and serious.
“Don’t worry!” Landon replied.
Two men with no blood ties, who used to be on opposite sides, were now joining forces, all for the same woman.
The medicine in the pot had burned and stuck to the bottom.
Night Owl caught a whiff of the scorched smell and walked into the kitchen, frowning in confusion.
After a few days of rest, thanks to all the meds and love, Night Owl was finally bouncing back.
She was finally putting on some weight, and her cheeks weren’t ghostly white anymore.
Her short hair was finally growing out, and she was starting to look more feminine.
However, she was still so frail. It felt like even a breeze could tip her over.
She was way too weak to even think about using hypnosis now.
“What’s burnt?” Night Owl asked, her usually cool voice sounding unexpectedly soft.
The tenderness in her tone made Aiden’s heart skip a beat and snapped him out of his daze.
Only then did he realize there was smoke coming from the pot.
He quickly turned off the stove, looking sheepish. “I… I forgot to stir it for a second.”
“Each batch of that medicine costs hundreds of dollars. I told you to let the staff handle it, but you had to do it yourself,” Night Owl said, a hint of exasperation in her voice.
Night Owl shot him a suspicious look, her eyes drifting down to his hand.
His phone screen had just gone dark.
He was hiding something from her.
“Who was that on the phone?” Night Owl asked, her voice cool and steady.
Aiden wanted to lie, but under Night Owl’s piercing gaze, he chickened out.
Finally, he told the truth. “It was Kayla… Another Jonny showed up in Lunova.”
“That’s wild,” Night Owl said, her brow furrowing even tighter. “So, when do we head out?”
“Owl, we don’t have to go,” Aiden said, his nerves on edge. “Landon said he can handle it himself.”
“When do we leave?” Night Owl repeated, her tone firm and unwavering.

Aiden sighed, and all the lines he’d rehearsed got stuck in his throat.
“Once I’ve got everything sorted at home,” he said, giving in.
