Chapter 951
Miriam was even more dumbfounded. She couldn’t believe there were actually two idiots here, and the second one was her own boyfriend.
Jonathan figured Teresa just didn’t want to make a scene or cause trouble between the families, so she put up with Irene.
She was proud and competitive, always bottling everything up and refusing to talk about it. It never even crossed his mind that it might have anything to do with him, because, in his heart, he’d already decided Teresa didn’t love him anyway.
Miriam was too fed up to say anything else. She just silently cursed Jonathan in her mind.
“Anyway, just so you know, as soon as Teresa wakes up, I’m taking her away. We’re going back to Nareigh, and I’ll help her raise the baby. You can just stay out of it and keep your distance,” Miriam said firmly.
“That’s not happening.” Jonathan wasn’t about to just let Miriam talk to him like that. There was no way she was taking the baby away. And there was no way he was letting Teresa raise the baby on her own.
And as for Teresa, there was no way he’d let Miriam take her away. “I won’t let her get hurt again,” Jonathan said firmly.
“Yeah, like she could hurt her again. Even if you wanted to, you won’t get the chance. Teresa’s done having kids with you anyway,” Miriam shot back.
But no matter what Miriam said, Jonathan wasn’t backing down. He was staying right there by Teresa’s side.
Edward tugged on Miriam’s hand. “Honey, I’m starving. Let’s go grab something to-”
But Miriam wasn’t budging. “I’m staying right here with Teresa. I’m not leaving until she wakes up. You go get me some food, and I’ll eat it here.”
Edward clicked his tongue. “Jeez, can’t you give Jonathan a little space?”
“No way.” She was still fuming. She was determined that when Teresa finally woke up, the very first person she’d see
would be her–Miriam.
Everyone just stood there, not budging an inch. Eventually, Miriam just couldn’t hold it anymore and had to go to the restroom, so she finally left with Edward.
Jonathan kept his eyes fixed on Teresa, carefully wiping her face with a fresh handkerchief. Three days had passed, and she still wasn’t waking up. As long as Teresa was out cold, there was no way Jonathan could get a wink of sleep.
Behind him, a soft, whimpering little voice called out, “Mr. Daddy Lime.”
Gary had brought Michael over. “Jonathan, why don’t you go get some rest and grab something to eat?” Gary suggested.
“You go ahead. I’m not hungry,” Jonathan replied.
“Alright, I’ll go eat then. I’ll come back later to pick up Mike,” Gary said, turning to leave.
Jonathan took Michael’s little hand and gently told him, “Be good, don’t touch Mommy, okay?”

Michael rubbed his eyes, looking worried. “Daddy, why is Mommy still sleeping? Is she hurt? Did the queen put a curse on her? I don’t want her to turn into Sleeping Beauty!”
“Of course not,” Jonathan said, wiping away Michael’s tears with his finger. “She’ll wake up soon.”
“Really?” Michael’s eyes lit up with hope.
But before his words had even faded, Teresa’s hands suddenly twitched on the bed. She broke out in a cold sweat, her
hands moving as she cried out, mumbling something in distress.
Jonathan hurriedly leaned in, anxious to catch what she was saying. “The baby… my baby… Lucas…” Teresa called out weakly.
Jonathan held onto Teresa’s hand, his heart sinking as he realized she was calling out for everyone except him.
Michael clung to Teresa’s other hand, pressing his little face against hers. “Mommy. Mommy, it’s me, Mike!”
“I’ll go get the doctor!” Jonathan dashed out of the room, but just as he let go and turned away, he heard Teresa murmur,
“Jonathan…”
