Chapter 238 Interviews.
Colin POV.
Okay, I’m getting a lottery ticket, I haven’t won it yet, there’s still the drawing of the ticket, aka applying, interviewing, getting accepted. This is the most excited I have been about anything in life, I haven’t had a goal to get out of bed for a while now, my life was filled with routine, and it’s a chance to change it all.
First fill in the form, which was the typical questions, name, age, weight, height, and stuff like that, nothing crazy, then there was the question of my occupation and what I have worked in before, along with my expertise.
I’m sure a wolf pack will need a good mechanic, and if they already have one, I could work along with them, I put down everything I have ever done along with all of the details they asked for and some more. The last question was an open–ended question which had me freezing, now what do they expect me to answer? I wanna join because wolves are cool? Strong? Or maybe I should write that I want the community and safety of not being alone anymore.
I kept that space blank for a long time, I couldn’t think of anything that they want to hear, it depends on the alpha, wolves are just like humans, they have different personalities and you never know who you are talking with, and how they feel about your words.
I decided to finally write them everything, I started with how cool I think wolf are, I see them from far away and think wow, those are beautiful creature, next I wrote about the goddess, I respect their
goddess and I do believe that she’s the one who created the wolves, and to end the small essay I have written instead of a two line sentence, I started to write about the community, how much I craved having people who would be there for me when I fall, and not steal my food from the fridge.
I finished writing the small essay and mailed my application, they will check it first and if I manage to pass the first test, I’ll be called for the interview and then we’ll see how things goes from there. I kept my phone on the charger the whole day and night, I kept an eye on it, I even caused a new leak to the Honda with my wrench, but I managed to fix it before anyone could see it, and cause me of having my mind elsewhere, they should have kept the form with them and apply for me, if they didn’t want me to keep thinking about it all the damn time.
“I think I finally fixed it,” I yelled, still working on the damn Honda three days later, the joke did continue it’s not just the leaking, we had to fix almost everything in it, in what world does cutting someone’s break funny? ‘At least they didn’t put a bomb in it‘ that was my boss

I looked around for someone to celebrate with only to see I’m alone in the shop, not that I mind working alone, but I like it better when there are other people here.
I groaned and all happiness had disappeared from my face, I went back to work with a pout on my face, my phone rang and I answered
without looking, it’s probably the Honda

us and asking about how his car is doing.
“Hello,” I say.
who keeps on calling
“Is this Colin?” the one on the phone asks, and I was confused, who would be asking for me? Maybe another costumer.

“This is him,” I answer right away.
“You’re expected on pack land tomorrow eight sharp for your interviews,” the voice says.
“Okay, I will…yeah…” I say ‘happy‘ all over again, having no one to tell, but to hell with it, I’m extremely happy right now, I’m jumping up and down with excitement.
The day passed very slow that day, it wouldn’t pass, I couldn’t work, I was thinking of tomorrow, what am I going to wear? What am I going to say, I felt like it’s the happiest day of my life tomorrow and the most nerve–wracking one.
I left home early since there was no bosses at work today, and I got home and started to think of what to wear, I even raided by roommates‘ closets trying to pick something. I settled on my own pants and one of their button down shirts, I sprayed some perfume, styled my hair and walked to the pack hoping to fit in.
I wasn’t there alone there were other applicants, of course. We were divided between humans and wolves. Someone would be with us shortly. I felt my heart beating like crazy. I felt a crazy itch all over my body, especially on my shoulder, weird.
