When Keira awoke, she didn’t open her eyes straight away. She registered the warmth enveloping her. Alexei was still with her.
She enjoyed the steady rise and fall of a chest beneath her cheek, the rhythm that was comforting. She loved the scent of him…
Her eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the soft morning light filtering through the balcony doors that he must have left open. She was sprawled across Alexei’s chest, her leg hitched over his, their bodies entwined in an intimate embrace. Safe. She felt utterly
safe.
Memories of the nightmare flickered at the edges of her consciousness, but after Alexei had settled in bed with her it hadn’t come back… it therefore held no power now, not with Alexei’s arms around her.
She shifted slightly, tilting her head to look at him. His eyes were closed, dark lashes fanning against his cheeks, his jaw relaxed in sleep. For a moment, she simply watched him.
Alexei’s eyes opened, those deep blue depths meeting hers with a softness that made her breath catch.
His hand stroked down her back, a gentle caress that sent shivers skating–over her skin. “Morning,” he murmured, his voice a low
rumble beneath her ear.
“Morning,” she whispered back, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw. “Thank you for staying with me.”
“Always,” he said simply, turning his head to press a soft kiss to her fingertips. “How are you feeling?”
Keira considered the question, taking stock of her emotions. “Better,” she admitted. “The nightmare feels distant now. I didn’t dream about it again.”
His arm tightened around her. “Good. You’re safe, Keira. I promise. I will never be so careless with security ever again.”
She believed him. She shifted again, her thigh brushing against him, and felt his body respond, hardening against her.
Alexei’s eyes darkened, his breath hitching slightly as his gaze dropped to her mouth. “Keira,” he whispered.
In answer, she leaned in, her lips brushing against his in a soft, lingering kiss.

She felt his heartbeat quicken beneath her palm, she shifted, straddling his hips. His hands gripped her waist, fingers flexing against her skin, but he made no move to rush her, letting her control the moment, which she knew wasn’t his normal style. But it was hot having him under her.
Keira sat up, her hair falling around her shoulders, as Alexei’s gaze roved over her, hunger in his expression. He reached up, his hands cupping her breasts, thumbs brushing over her nipples until they tightened into hard peaks.
She arched into his touch, a soft gasp escaping her lips as heat flooded her core. Every touch, every caress sent sparks dancing over her skin, igniting a fire that burned hotter with each passing second.
Alexei’s hips lifted beneath her, his erection pressing against her center. “Keira,” he ground out, his voice rough with need. “I hope you know what you’re in for?”
She smiled, a slow, sultry curve of her lips that promised more. Leaning down, she kissed him again, her tongue tangling with his as she rolled her hips, grinding against him. He groaned into her mouth, his fingers digging into her hips, urging her on.
Sitting back up, she reached between them, wrapping her hand around his length. He was hot and hard in her palm, pulsing with

need. She stroked him, once, twice, her thumb circling the sensitive tip until his breath was coming in harsh pants.
“Keira,” he growled, his gaze locked on her face. “You are playing with fire.”
“I’m not playing,” she said, shifting and lifting herself up.
He moved her away just enough to reach for the nightstand. “Hold on,” he muttered, grabbing a condom he must have left there last night. He quickly rolled it on, then pulled her back down onto him as he slid in.
They both moaned at the sensation.
“God, you feel-” she gasped, her body stretching to accommodate him.
“Perfect,” he finished, his hips lifting to meet her. “You feel perfect.”
For a moment, they stayed like that, joined intimately. Then Keira began to move, her hips lifting and falling in a slow, steady rhythm that had them both gasping for air.
Alexei’s hands roamed her body, touching, teasing, driving her wild with each caress. He sat up, one arm wrapping around her waist, the other hand tangling in her hair as he pulled her kiss that stole her breath.
Alexei devoured her mouth like he’d been waiting all night, teeth grazing her lower lip before sucking it in, pulling a guttural sound from her throat. Keira dug her fingers into his shoulders as though she needed something to anchor her, hips grinding down into
him.
“Fuck, Warner,” his words broke past his lips, hot against her tongue. “You’re unreal.”
She tilted her head back, gasping when his mouth left hers to map a wet trail down her throat, biting at her collarbone before soothing it with his tongue. “Do you know… you talk too much,” she managed, but her voice shook, betraying the way her body clamped around him as he thrust upward to meet her..
Alexei’s laugh rumbled against her chest. “Then shut me up.” His hand cupped the back of her neck, pulling her down to him again, kissing her like he owned every part of her, not just her mouth.
She rose on her knees and slammed back down, the slick impact rattling through both of them. His head fell back, teeth clenched, jaw tight, Keira watched him unravel in front of her and reveled in it.
His hands trailed down to her ass, gripping tight as he began to drive up into her, forcing a harsher rhythm. The wet slap of skin filled the air alongside her strained breaths. She clutched at his chest, dragging her nails lightly enough to leave angry red marks
across his sternum.
Alexei’s breath hitched. Instead of slowing him, it spurred him on, hips lifting harder, taking the control from her and setting a brutal pace she had no choice but to fall into. “You do like to use your nails don’t you.”
Her head tipped back, hair falling down her spine. “Oh…god-”
“He isn’t here to help you,” he growled, sitting up and locking one arm tight around her waist so she couldn’t escape. “Say my
name.”
Her nails dug in deeper, legs trembling as she gasped out, “Lex-” broken in half on another hard snap of his hips.
That dangerous little smirk pulled at his mouth even while his breathing tore from him in shreds. “Good girl.” He slid a hand up her front until he found her breast, fingers pinching and rolling the taut nipple until her thighs shook from it.

Keira moved against him, nails clawing into his shoulders now. She hated that his words lit her up, hated that she was so open, so raw, yet she clenched violently around him every time he barked praise or command.
“Don’t stop,” she begged breathlessly into his ear. “Please-
“Not planning on it,” he growled, tilting her hips and driving even deeper, the angle so sharp she screamed, dropping down to muffle it against his shoulder.
Her walls tightened, her body desperate, demanding release. Alexei felt it, cursed low and forced her body faster down over his.
“Come with me,” he hissed, sliding his hand between them, thumb finding her clit, rubbing ruthless circles that sent her flying.
Keira shattered around him with a cry, her body rippling and dragging him down the edge with her. His thrusts faltered as he spilled into the condom, muffling his roar of release against her neck.
For several long moments, they rocked together, clinging, refusing to let go.
Her body collapsed onto his, her palm splayed over the frantic drum of his heart.
“Hell,” he muttered hoarsely, dropping his head into her hair.
She turned her face against his throat, lips brushing damp skin. “Wow even before my morning coffee.”
His chuckle was rough, wrecked. “Coffee, was that on your schedule first?”
Keira huffed, only half a laugh. She didn’t move off him, didn’t want to, despite how wrecked her muscles felt. “Well, it was but I think this was so much better. Consider this a schedule disruption.”
He eased her back onto the pillows with care, kissed her forehead like it was nothing, like it meant everything. “Warner,” he murmured, “you’re going to kill me.”
She tried to shoot him a glare, but it melted under the way he was still looking at her–dark, hungry, too soft beneath all that.
Keira swallowed, throat tight, smirk tugging anyway. “You’ll survive, I’m sure. Lots of practice with your bubble–headed Barbies.”
