Chapter 217: Love Confessions (The ending)
Chapter 217: Love Confessions (The ending)
(Aria’s POV)
I stood in our bedroom at Moon Valley Residences, my face still flushed from the intensity of our Caribbean vacation and the passionate night we’d shared. The sound of running water from the shower filled the space, and my wolf purred with deep contentment from our strengthened mate bond.
The memories of our intimate moments on Moonrise Island played through my mind like scenes from a
beautiful dream. Dominic’s touch, his whispered words of devotion, the way he’d looked at me like I was his
entire world – it all felt too perfect to be real.
My phone rang suddenly, breaking through my reverie. The caller ID showed my mother’s name, and I quickly
answered.
“Mom? Is everything alright?”
“Oh, Aria,” Mrs. Caroline Lewis’s voice carried exhaustion and frustration. “I’m so sorry to bother you, but your uncles have been driving us crazy.”
“What kind of trouble?” I asked, settling onto the edge of the bed.
“Ever since Dr. Samuel Lewis fled the country, the other Lewis brothers have been struggling financially,” my mother explained. “Their businesses are failing without the support they used to receive from Lewis Corporation.“.
I could hear the strain in her voice. “They’re asking for help?”
“More than asking,” she replied grimly. “Dr. Marcus Lewis showed up at our door yesterday, practically
begging your father to reconsider the family separation.”
My wolf bristled with protective anger. “After everything they put us through?”
“That’s exactly what your father told him,” my mother said with satisfaction. “He sent Marcus away with very clear words about loyalty and consequences.”
“Good,” I said firmly. “They made their choices.”
“The problem is they won’t leave us alone,” my mother continued. “Dr. Thomas Lewis called this morning, then Rebecca Lewis tried to guilt me into intervening.”
I could picture the desperation driving their behavior. Without my father’s financial backing, the Lewis family’s comfortable lifestyle was crumbling.
“Your father and I were thinking,” my mother said, her voice brightening slightly, “maybe we could visit you and Dominic for a few days? Get away from all this family drama?”
My heart leaped with excitement. “That would be wonderfull When were you thinking of coming?”
“As soon as possible,” she replied. “We could really use the change of scenery.”
“I’ll send you our address right now,” I said eagerly, already reaching for my laptop. “And I’ll book you rooms at the Northern Peaks Resort – it’s beautiful and only twenty minutes from our territory.”

“You don’t have to go to all that trouble, sweetheart.”

“It’s no trouble at all,” I assured her, my fingers flying across the keyboard as I searched for local attractions. “There are so many things we can show you here. The Northern Territory has incredible mountain views, hot springs, and the most amazing restaurants.”
“That sounds perfect,” my mother said with the first genuine happiness I’d heard in her voice all week.
“I’ll make reservations and send you an itinerary,” I promised, my wolf humming with anticipation at having
family visit our home territory.
After hanging up, I continued researching activities, completely absorbed in planning the perfect visit for my
parents.
(Aria’s POV)
The bathroom door opened behind me, releasing a cloud of steam scented with Dominic’s cedar fragrance. His powerful Alpha presence immediately filled the room, and I turned to see him emerging with a towel
wrapped around his waist.
Water droplets still clung to his muscular chest, and his dark hair was damp and tousled. The sight of him made my wolf stir with renewed desire despite our recent intimacy.
“Planning something?” he asked, noting my laptop and the tourism websites spread across the screen.
“My parents want to visit,” I said, unable to contain my excitement. “They need to escape the Lewis family
drama for a while.”
Dominic’s silver–gray eyes immediately brightened, his Alpha pride evident in his warm smile. “That’s excellent news. I’ve been wanting to properly welcome them to Shadow Pack territory.”
“I booked them rooms at Northern Peaks Resort,” I continued, gesturing at my research. “And I found this
amazing spa that offers traditional werewolf healing treatments.”
“Your mother will love that,” Dominic agreed, moving closer until his enhanced body heat warmed my skin.
“When are they arriving?”
“They want to come as soon as possible,” I replied, but my attention was becoming divided as he leaned over
my shoulder to look at the laptop screen.
His cedar scent, intensified by the shower steam, wrapped around me like an intoxicating cloud. I could feel
the heat radiating from his bare skin, and my wolf began responding to his proximity with familiar warmth.
“The Northern Territory has some excellent hiking trails,” Dominic said, his breath tickling my ear. “Perfect for
showing off our territory’s natural beauty.”
“Mmm,” I managed, struggling to focus on the travel planning when every nerve ending was responding to his
nearness.
His hands settled on my shoulders, his thumbs beginning a gentle massage that made coherent thought nearly impossible, “Of course, we’ll have to make sure we have plenty of energy for entertaining guests.”
“Dominic,” I warned, recognizing the playful undertone in his voice.
“What?” he asked innocently, though his hands continued their distracting ministrations. “I’m just saying we should rest up before they arrive.”

“Early bedtime, then,” he suggested, his lips brushing against my neck in a way that made my wolf practically
melt.
I closed the laptop with resigned determination. “Fine. But we’re waking up early tomorrow to finalize their
itinerary.”
“Whatever you say, Mrs. Blackwood,” he agreed, sweeping me into his arms with his enhanced werewolf
strength.
(Aria’s POV)
The next morning, I woke to find Dominic still deeply asleep beside me. His usually composed Alpha features were softened in slumber, making him look younger and more vulnerable than his commanding public
persona ever revealed.
His dark hair was tousled across the pillow, and his breathing was deep and regular. The exhaustion from managing his expanding Shadow Pack security business, combined with our passionate reconnection, had clearly taken its toll.
I studied his peaceful face, marveling at how different he looked when his guard was completely down. This
was the private Dominic that only I got to see – not the intimidating Alpha King, but simply my mate.
Unable to resist, I reached out and gently pinched his cheek, my wolf stirring with playful affection.
“Wake up, sleepyhead,” I whispered.
His silver–gray eyes opened immediately, alert despite having been sound asleep seconds before. His werewolf reflexes never fully rested, even in the safety of our own home.
Before I could say anything else, he pulled me close with his enhanced strength, his powerful arms wrapping
around me like protective bands.
“Good morning, Mrs. Blackwood,” he said in that husky voice that sent shivers through my entire body.
The title still made my heart flutter. Even after our marking ceremony and everything we’d been through together, hearing him call me that filled me with warmth and belonging.
“Good morning yourself,” I replied, snuggling into his solid warmth.
“Last night was…” he began, then seemed to search for adequate words.
“Perfect,” I finished for him, my wolf humming with satisfaction at the memory.
“Better than perfect,” he corrected, his cedar scent wrapping around us both like a protective cocoon.
“Sometimes I still can’t believe this is real.”
I propped myself up on one elbow to look at him properly. “What do you mean?”
“Having you here, in our home, in our bed,” he explained, his voice carrying wonder that touched my heart. “Having Nolan sleeping safely in the next room. This whole life we’ve built together.”
His vulnerability in this moment was breathtaking. This powerful Alpha who commanded respect across multiple werewolf territories was sharing his deepest fears with me.
“It’s real,” I assured him, placing my hand over his heart where I could feel its steady rhythm. “We’re real.”

“I know,” he said softly, covering my hand with his. “But sometimes I’m afraid I’ll wake up and you’ll be gone.
That this happiness is too good to last.”
“It’s not going anywhere,” I promised firmly. “I’m not going anywhere.”
“I’m so grateful,” he whispered, his silver–gray eyes holding mine with intense emotion. “So incredibly grateful that you chose me. That you trusted me enough to build this life together.”
His words stirred something deep within my wolf, a certainty that had been building for months but had
never quite found voice. The depth of his love, his unwavering protection, his gentle care – it had all combined to create something I’d never experienced before.
“Dominic,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper but carrying the weight of everything I felt.
“Yes?”
The words seemed to stick in my throat for a moment, years of guarding my heart making it difficult to be completely vulnerable. But his patient, loving gaze gave me courage.
“I love you,” I confessed, the words falling between us like precious stones.
(Aria’s POV)
Dominic went completely still beneath me, his entire body freezing as if my words had shocked him into
immobility. His silver–gray eyes widened with surprise and something that looked like pure joy.
“Aria,” he breathed, but seemed unable to find words beyond my name.
Emboldened by his reaction, I leaned down and kissed him softly, pouring all my emotion into the gentle
contact. When I pulled back, I looked directly into his eyes.
“I love you,” I repeated, this time with complete certainty. “I love your strength, your gentleness with Nolan,
your protective instincts. I love how safe you make me feel, how you never try to control me despite your
Alpha nature.”
His hands came up to frame my face, his touch reverent as if I were something precious and fragile. “Aria…”
“I love how you cook for me, how you worry about my recovery, how you put our family before your own needs,” I continued, needing him to understand the depth of what I felt. “I love your humor, your intelligence,
your unwavering loyalty.”
Before I could say more, he pulled me down into a kiss that was different from any we’d shared before. This
wasn’t passion or desire – this was pure emotion, raw and overwhelming.
His lips moved against mine with desperate tenderness, as if he was trying to communicate everything he
couldn’t put into words. When we finally broke apart, we were both breathing hard.
“I love you too,” he whispered against my forehead, his powerful voice trembling with emotion. “So much it
terrifies me sometimes.”
His confession sent warmth flooding through my entire body. My wolf practically sang with joy at finally hearing those words from our mate.
“I’ve loved you for so long,” he continued, his hands threading through my hair with gentle reverence. “Even before I had the right to feel that way. Even when you belonged to someone else.”
“I never really belonged to anyone else,” I admitted, surprising myself with the honesty. “Not the way I belong

to you.”
“Aria,” he said again, and this time my name sounded like a prayer.

In that moment, with morning sunlight streaming through our bedroom window, I could have sworn I saw a younger version of Dominic – the boy he might have been before life and responsibility hardened him into the Alpha King. The smile on his face was pure and joyful, untouched by political maneuvering or pack
obligations.
This was what love looked like when it survived betrayal and politics and every force that tried to tear it
apart. This was what we’d built together, what no one could take away from us.
“Nove you, Dominic Blackwood,” I said one more time, needing to hear the words in the golden morning light.
“And I love you, Aria Blackwood,” he replied, his voice steady and sure. “For all eternity.”
As we lay there wrapped in each other’s arms and the warm sunlight, I knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, we would face them together. Our love had been tested by fire and had emerged stronger than ever.
This was our beginning, not our end.
