I didn’t say a word and headed straight for the elevator.
On the top floor, in the conference room, the Karridge Group’s executives were already waiting nervously in their seats.
As I pushed the door open and walked in, everyone turned to look at me all at once.
There was fear in their eyes, regret, and maybe even a bit of hope.
“Everyone, sorry for the wait.”

I looked around the room, locking eyes with each person. My voice was steady and firm. “You’re all fired.”
