As Romina walked forward, the man’s voice came from behind: “I heard you opened some kind of wellness clinic outside. Where did you get the money? Don’t tell me it was the three million I gave you?”
Romina stopped abruptly when she heard this.
She looked back calmly and said, “Let me correct you. Those lion statues were mine to begin with. You gave them away without my permission, so you were in the wrong first. You were also the one who willingly paid for them, so it only counts as you buying them.”
“Now that I think about it, spending three million on a pair of lion statues–I must have been crazy.”
The man’s upturned eyes revealed his disrespect and contempt for her.

She had guarded against everything, except her own son.
She had almost forgotten that Kashton was close to Hayden and would often tell him things on his own initiative.
Just as Romina was about to speak, a familiar voice beat her to it: “That’s Joaquin’s child. Romina is taking care of her now.”
Upon hearing this, Romina looked up in disbelief toward the doorway.
Jericho was leaning against the doorframe at that moment, no one knew when he had arrived, watching them with an indifferent expression.
But the hint of provocation in his eyes did not escape Romina’s notice.
He had just said not to tell Grandpà about this!
