Noelle POV.

The guys were in of course, they are my two best friends, they won’t leave me behind, they came along with me, we were all dressed in causal clothes, and we started the long drive there, I whined about the fact that we don’t have a jet that we could use, but they said they’re going to break every driving law to get us there.
I couldn’t sleep on the way, so I took over driving for a couple hours, and then I took a break so I could gather my strength for the fight to
come.
When we reached that land again, this time I knew exactly where I was going, and I knew why I was here, I’m here to take charge, and save them again.
“Where do you want us to drop you?” Ezra asks.
“Alpha’s place, and don’t get in the middle of it,” I say, as I got out of the car, ready to kill a wolf.
“Blake! You JERK! Get your ass out here,” I yell out loud, and he does
come out.
“What do you want?” he asks, coming out of the room, hall dressed, he had blood all over him, and I could tell from the smell it’s human blood.
“I Noelle, challenge you for this pack leadership,” I yell out at him.

“You have no right,” he answers me.
“I was born here, I’m the daughter of their last alpha, by blood I have every right to kill you,” I say and then shift into my wolf form ready to tear into his neck.
He looks at me, confused, standing still, not moving or reacting to my attack, broad–shouldered, smug, eyes full of that kind of confidence only cowards wear. I remember the brief meeting, how polite he’d been, how smooth his voice–sounded, how he’d played the part of a gentleman the perfect alpha. But now, the truth is painted all over him with blood.
I’m here to take what’s mine, my old pack, my home, my people.
“Last chance to go back home, pup,” he says in a mockery tone, but I attacked and threw him on the ground, giving him a chance to shift to his wolf to make it a fair game, I don’t want to be accused of not playing fair again. It took him a second to recognize what happened, and he changed into wolf form in second, and he came at me.
His weight slams into mine, and we crash to the ground, rolling through dirt and leaves. His claws catch my shoulder, burning white- hot, but pain is fuel. I twist, driving my claws into his ribs, and he snarls in my face. His breath reeks of arrogance.
We circle each other, eyes locked, wolves came out of the house and all around the pack, they came to watch but no one dared to get in the middle, this is an alpha challenge. He lunges high, missing me with my height, I duck low, sweeping his legs out from under him. He hits the ground hard, but he’s fast, flipping back up before I can pin him. He’s strong. I’ll give him that, but strength without control is just rage,

and rage burns out fast.
He charges again, but this time I let him come, sidestepping at the last moment and raking my claws down his back. His howl disturbed the silence around us, no one dared to talk, everyone was just looking, waiting to see who’d come out as the winner. He whirls, swinging wildly, but I’m already gone, slipping around him and then I slam my shoulder into his chest.
We hit the ground again, this time I had him pinned underneath me, he twisted and roll trying to throw me off, but my wolf is in full control
now.
Her voice is in my head sharp, relentless.
‘End him. End him now.‘
My claws flash, slicing across his throat in one clean motion, his eyes go wide, the fight draining out of him in a single, shuddering breath. Blood soaks into the earth beneath us, his body twitches once, then goes still.
For a moment, I just sat there, chest heaving, the copper scent of death thick in my nose, my body shaking, but not from fear, from release, from the sheer, unfiltered satisfaction of knowing he will never hurt anyone again.
Slowly, I stand. Around me, wolves and humans were looking at us, looking the dead body on the ground, and then their eyes turn to me, staring. Rosalie came out of the house, she was bloody, on the verge of death, she looked at me and then the dead body, and she just gave me a grateful look, a slight smile, a look of relief.

“He’s not your alpha,” I say to the pack. “He never was. And if anyone else thinks they can take this place through fear, they’ll end the same way.”
No one argues, no one even moves, the air feels lighter, cleaner. I turn and walk away from the body without looking back.
