I have been with Brooklyn for many, many years already, I have done a million mission, some that I enjoyed and others that felt like shit, but this one, I’m really liking, I haven’t been part of a pack in forever, and now being back as a beta, who’s helping the young alpha and being looked at for advise and opinion, it made my wolf feel like a big shot.
Sadly for her, being an alpha isn’t just about taking care of the pack, or just ordering them around, being an alpha means that she has to talk the same language as them, she has to attend meeting, to show the strength of her pack, and even with Brooklyn’s protection, she needs to play her cards right.
“We have a meeting,” I tell Noelle and watch the smile drop from her face, it quickly turned into a frown with a ‘really, another meeting,‘ look.
“Hey turn that frown upside down, this one is with Brooklyn,” I say making her smile again, she must miss her, we haven’t met in three months since Brooklyn took charge.
“Is she coming? Are we going? Or another video meeting?” she asks me, she hates video meeting, but they are the most common ones with Brooklyn.
“We’re gonna meet her, thirty minutes from her,” I say making her smile, we’re going to see her for real this time.

“Let’s go,” she says and put her shoes on, before running back to the house and yelling.
“Kyle, Rosalie, you’re in charge in my absence, don’t let the pack burn down,” she yells and walks out.
We got in my car and I drove her, she’s the alpha, I should be the one driving her, and it’s better, I don’t trust her driving, especially when she’s excited about anything. We reached the place where we’re supposed to meet her, and I parked, we both got in and gave Brooklyn a warm hug, we damn missed her so much.
“We missed you,” Noelle says for the both of us, since it’s just us, she can say the words out loud.
“I missed you two so damn much, I’m trying to get some arrangement so me and Whitney can come spend a couple days with you,” she says and we both smiled, I miss them both.
“So what’s this meeting about?” Noelle asks her right away, why did she call us in for.
“I wanted to see you alpha, are you too busy to see your old boss? And by the way, I’m still your boss,” Brooklyn says making me smile.
“I don’t mean it like that, I miss you too boss, and I’m so over the alpha meetings, it’s always the same, we go around and we are showing off our packs,” she says with a groan, she was so over it, she’ll get over it soon, she’ll get used to it.
“I’m just here to check on you,” Brooklyn assures her, and she smiles happily, and they had some small chats, I was listening too, making sure that she doesn’t plan on dragging me back home soon.

“So I have a suggestion,” Brooklyn says but it sounded more of an order.
“Go ahead tell me,” Noelle says with a sigh, she knew this was coming, even with Brooklyn sugar coating it, she was so over it..
“You should have a recruiting day,” Brooklyn says, it’s a way to get some extra dominant wolves in the pack, only having seven of us, including the alpha isn’t enough, the only thing that have us standing so far is Brooklyn’s name.
“What for? I don’t get it,” Noelle says, confused.
“You need some more wolves, maybe a couple of humans as well,” she says, adding the fact that we can use some humans, we have some already and we can add some more of them.
“But I like my pack the way it is,” she answer her, and I sighed, Noelle is a great wolf but she doesn’t trust people easily, and she doesn’t trust new wolves who’d come into the pack that she’s protecting tooth and nail.
“We don’t have enough, we’re running thin on patrol and protection, you heard the other packs and how they act around us, we keep saying that we have more dominant wolves than we really do,” I say,
explaining to her what’s going on, and she just pouts, she doesn’t like this.
“You’ll have Ezra on your side, I’ll be sending Mateo for help as well, you got Kyle and his mate to help you, you all do the interview, and you can kick anyone you don’t like out in the next three months,” Brooklyn says.
“I can kick them out?” Noelle repeats.
