“Sorry…” I mumbled instinctively, realizing who was beside me.
But I didn’t look up, distancing myself, frowning.

Reaching the top floor, everyone exited the elevator.

In the banquet hall, the seating was arranged, and I happened to be next to Reynald.
Collin sat beside Jaxson.
Jaxson, not in the medical field, was here because of his hospital donations; invitations from the medical elite were always at his disposal.
Caroline glanced back at my table, seeing me whispering to Reynald.

think Dr. Sutton and Mr. Steward were a good match?” she asked, her

He casually swiped his phone.“Charlotte’s out of his league.”

Despite his words, Caroline felt uneasy.
I was chatting with Reynald when my phone vibrated.
I stared, stunned.
It was Jaxson.
