“Daddy, that woman is out of her mind! Her lover died, and now she seems to have
a death wish!” Monica screamed in terror.
Monroe fell silent, his eyes fixed on Night Owl with intense hatred. ‘Damn it! She wants to die, but she’s trying to drag us all down with hert Monroe cursed inwardly.
“Quit staring at my eyes. I might hypnotize you,” Night Owl warned coldly.
Monroe quickly looked away. Night Owl let out a mocking laugh, thinking, ‘Cowards, all of you!‘
Marvel, always the more rational one, quickly remarked, “Just don’t interfere with the crystal coffin. We’ll comply with all your requests.”
Monica sobbed, overwhelmed by a mix of guilt and gratitude. If she hadn’t been so stubborn–turning off the security system herself and insisting on ordering takeout–Night Owl would never have had the opportunity to hypnotize her. Her stubbornness had undermined entirely the Mystic Sect’s years
of effort.
“Alright, that’s enough tears,” Marvel said gently, attempting to comfort her. “Yes, we broke the law, but Dreicean doesn’t have the death penalty. So, at worst, we’ll have to start over somewhere else.” As long as they escaped alive, the brothers‘ skills would make it entirely possible to navigate through prison and restore the Mystic Sect.
“Let’s go, Landon,” Marvel was the first to turn and leave.
Monroe lowered his gaze, staring intently at Charlee, lying in the crystal coffin. He remained there for a long time before finally walking out. Landon followed behind, escorting Monica. Tuff and Night Owl stayed behind the crystal coffin to maintain control.
As soon as they emerged from the hidden room, several members of the Flying Tiger Sect stood ready to intercept them. Monroe snapped, “Landon, I seriously underestimated you.”
“Of course, I’ve been setting this up from the start,” Landon replied.
“Weren’t you afraid I’d see through you and take you out?” Monroe retorted.
“To fish you out, I’ve got to be brave,” Landon shot back. No matter how much one argued, in the end, fists always won.
The Flying Tiger Sect members had tied up Monroe and Marvel, but Monica’s thoughts were still on Paul. “Landon, you’ve gotten what you wanted. Can you please let Paul go now?” Monica pleaded.
Monroe was so furious that he could have fainted. If he had known that Monica would go so far as to sabotage the security system just for Paul, he would have never let them out of his sight.
“Don’t let it get to you, bro,” Marvel whispered, trying to comfort him. “As long as there’s life, there’s hope.”
Monroe’s eyes blazed with barely contained anger, yet he compelled himself to take a few deep breaths until he finally calmed down. “You’re right.”
The brothers were being overly obedient, which made Landon feel uneasy. “Give Monroe a sedative,” Landon ordered.
His team followed orders precisely. With one shot, Monroe was knocked unconscious. Marvel shot Landon a strange thumbs–up, his expression making the gesture feel quite unsettling.
Landon’s unease escalated further. To prevent chaos, he quickly issued a series of commands to secure the entire Mystic Sect. As for Monroe’s elite crew, they were all taken to the Flying Tiger Sect for interrogation.
“It seems we’re in the clear,” Tuff said, offering Landon a reassuring pat on the shoulder, “Everyone has been gathered, and the crystal coffin is still under our control. They can’t cause any trouble now.”
“Is that so…” Landon muttered. He felt that things weren’t easy; a lingering sense of unease gnawed at him, though he couldn’t quite identify what was wrong.
Chapter 332
Night Owl picked up on his unease and said, “While I had Monica hypnotized, she didn’t hide a thing from me.”
“Thanks, I really appreciate it,” Landon let out a deep sigh of relief.
“Alright, let’s head back,” Tuff Said, beaming with excitement as he rubbed his hands together, eager to see his wife.
Landon missed Amelia as well. Yet, as he stood there, he glanced back at the empty Mystic Sect, his eyes filled with a whirlwind of emotions.
Everything had gone far too smoothly that day, and Landon wondered if being locked up for so long had made him jumpy. Still, better safe than sorry he resolved to address the problem at its root.
Landon turned away and made a call. “The Montgomery brothers are far too suspicious. Once the investigation is complete, eliminate them–leave no loose ends.”
At Kyle Villa, Aiden was so worried that he just crashed early, while Kayla looked unfazed. Amelia sat under the flower trellis, sipping coffee and letting the breeze play with her hair, but her mind was miles away.
As dusk fell and there was still no word from Landon and the others, her anxiety grew stronger. She found herself constantly reaching for her phone, nearly texting him, but she held back each time, fearing she might disrupt his work. Her heart struggled to calm even for a moment.
As she anxiously pondered alone, a sudden, sharp scream erupted from the nearby little villa. “Ah!”
“Kayla?” Amelia jumped to her feet and dashed toward the villa. Even though she knew this place was supposed to be safe, Kayla’s scream still made her
uneasy.
Aiden, who had been resting in the nearby villa, was suddenly awakened and ran barefoot. When he and Amelia entered the villa, he let out a scream.
“Ah!”
Amelia stared, utterly confused. She glanced at Kayla, who was huddled on the floor, terrified, and then at the man lounging on the couch. “Who are you?” she asked.
“Amelia, right?” the man said, giving Amelia a shameless once–over. His eyes were wild, almost frenzied–he seemed like he could explode at any moment, and his gaze felt like a clear threat.
Amelia’s heart was pounding out of her chest. She shot Aiden a look of disbelief. “Are you serious?”
“Is that you, Jonny?” Even Aiden couldn’t believe it–he stepped forward, stunned.
His laugh got even crazier. “Aiden, those stabs of yours hurt, you know!”
“Oh my-” Amelia couldn’t help but scream, completely stunned.
Wait, is this guy Jonny? Kayla’s psycho ex–husband?‘ Amelia’s mind raced in disbelief. ‘Wasn’t he supposed to be dead? Didn’t Aiden stab him to death?‘ she thought, her heart racing.
“Heard you got Mom and Dad killed? Look at you, Aiden. You’ve outdone yourself.” Jonny sneered.
Aiden’s face turned as pale as Kayla’s, and both stared at Jonny, frozen in fear and too shocked to move. Amelia snapped back to reality and rushed to Kayla’s side, helping her to her feet. “Kayla, try to stay calm,” she urged.
“Amy…” Kayla whispered, her voice shaking. She had always been the brave one,
“Don’t worry, they’ll be back soon,” Amelia whispered reassuringly.
but now she felt utterly trapped in a terrifying nightmare.
Kayla began to feel a sense of calm. She realized she was no longer the lonely girl without any memories. She had a husband and a brother who were coming for her–she just needed to hold on. There was no longer any reason to fear Jonny.

Chapter 332
“Jonny, if you weren’t dead, why have you been away all this time?” Aiden asked, his voice shaking with disbelief.
“I just wanted to see what kind of game you were playing. Man, you are pathetic! Not only did your lose the Kington Gang, but you couldn’t even manana to get a girl,” Jonny taunted.
Jonny rose from the couch and approached Kayla and Amelia, moving slowly and threateningly. The two girls huddled together, their nerves on edge.
Aiden quickly stepped in front of Jonny, blocking his path. “It’s over, Jonny.”
“Over? My game is just beginning!” Jonny sneered as he swung his arm to shove Aiden out of the way.
The timid boy who had never stood up for himself had grown up. Now, he was strong and knew how to defend himself. Aiden stood his ground, steadfast as a rock. “Don’t make me hurt you again, Jonny!” Aiden warned, his voice steady.
Jonny erupted into laughter, his voice dripping with mockery. The sound echoed off the walls, like a twisted spell, leaving Kayla’s legs weak and her body feeling completely numb.
