Alexander pulled my naked form against his for the usual cuddle which I believed he found another type of pleasure in.
I drifted off to sleep, with my main goal tucked under the pillow.
When I woke up, it was to the sound of a voice, “Good morning, Luna Aquamarine.”
I sat up immediately, ignoring the pain I felt in between my thighs, “Juliet?” I called out.
I watched her eye my naked form, but I didn’t care, she had seen me naked before. She looked normal, the only difference was her eyes. They looked dead, starved.
And her clothes, they covered more of her skin than usual. But despite all these differences, she still smiled at me, “I’m here for your bath. We only have 30 minutes before Primus Alexander rages off again.”
My heart ached and I rushed to her but she spun me around immediately and dragged me into the bathroom.
While washing me she didn’t even let me ask questions about what happened and when I managed to ask, she didn’t
answer me.
But I still wanted to know.
After dressing up, she followed me outside. But Aaron and even Alexander were still nowhere to be seen.
The sun was just beginning to rise but the palace maids were already working. As we stepped into the carriage, I turned to Juliet. “What about Aaron?” I asked.
She didn’t respond but instead she focused on securing the carriage door. I tried again, my voice a bit louder. “Juliet, please, what’s happened to Aaron? Is he okay?”
But she remained silent throughout the journey. I turned my gaze to the pendant hanging around my neck, the moon and flame symbol. I wondered why that overgrown pervert gave me something like this.
A pendant that matches the birthmark in privates? How sick and twisted is he?
But he must have done it because stupid me thought he gave her a bracelet because he still likes her.
But the most shocking was the fact that he released Juliet. I was shocked when he agreed but he really did, but what was
the catch?
Aside from that, now that I had the scroll back in my hands, I had to find a way to open it. And then, there’s Esmeralda with her impossible demands.
But before I could dwell on it further/I felt Juliet’s gaze on me. I looked up and our eyes met. For a moment, I felt scared.
Juliet’s eyes seemed to stare into my soul and I could sense her studying me. She used to, but this was more intense.
Was she still angry? Or was she just pretending to be fine with me?

Just as I thought she was about to speak, the carriage stopped and I was soo eager to leave her presence.
Something didn’t set well with Juliet.

The carriage door opened and Juliet stepped out before offering her hand to help me out. We were in an open field and it kind of looked like the one she took me to when she showed me the effect of Rogiara on Drunken Moose.
But we were surrounded by trees.
Then I saw them. Alexander and Levi were together, staring at us while we approached them. But still no sign of Aaron.
“Hope you’re ready?” Alexander asked.
“Ready for what?” I replied, staring at him. He looked geared up, like he was ready to leave for war. “I don’t know what we’re doing here.”
Levi handed Alexander a pouch, he then brought out a scabbard and handed it to me. I drew it out, to see two daggers.
Each had three sharp points that were shining under the rising sun. My fingers traced the fire design on the blade and the small blue–shaped gem on the pommel of the dagger.
It looked beautiful, yet the aura was deadly. Like the blade had taken more souls than I could bear.
But why would he give me a weapon? Then I remembered what he said at his workshop. “Is this ”
Alexander cut me off, “Yes, my weapon for you. Created myself, using my most priceless possession,” he said proudly. “And also something from you.”
I raised an eyebrow, “What exactly did you use?”
“Trust me, you don’t need to know.” He said with a mischievous smile that made me want to know more.
“Now, the reason you’re here,” he paused and his smile dropped to something more serious, “I want you to fight me,” he
said.
My jaw went slack.
To say I was speechless was an understatement. I stared at him from head to toe and stared around to see some of his men surrounding the area like they were forming a cage.
“You challenged me days ago. Now it’s time to prove your worth like you promised,” he said.
I looked at him, stunned and confused. “How will fighting you prove my worth?” I asked, still trying to make sense out of all these. “Do you want to kill me before my time?”
“Unlike you weak werewolves, our women fight beside their mate,” he replied proudly.
I still don’t understand his hatred towards werewolves but right now he was being insane.

Chapter 35
“The worst kind of women are the ones who find safety and value only in their mates‘ beds.” He growled and walked up to me, “And trust me, no woman of mine will be weak.”
His words hit hard in a good way and also bad way. But I knew he wasn’t joking, especially taking his time out of his duties to come out in an open field like this.
But doing all this in front of all these people was something else. What if I end up embarrassing myself?
But his words echoed in my mind.
I held the dagger tightly before staring at him.
He stood still like he was waiting for me to make the first move. I took a deep breath and lunged forward, aiming the dagger at his stomach.
But before I could even get close to him, he tackled me. He spun me around so that my back was pressed against his chest. “Don’t be too weak and predictable,” he whispered in my ear, his breath hot against my skin. “You have a lot of openings. If you were in a real fight you would have died before taking the first step.”
But before I could even think of my next move, a mocking laugh echoed across the field.
Gaia stood there, laughing like she had just watched a funny play. “Are you teaching her how to dance, Alex?”
We tried again and again. But he easily overpowered me every single time.
I released a shaky breath as sweat trickled down my face. The sun was already up, my stomach was growling for food and
water.
But somehow, I was beginning to thing Alexander thought I was built like a man.
“Tsk tsk tsk, she can’t do shit. Even with the bracelet on I can still beat her hands down.” Gaia mocked but I didn’t listen to her taunts.
After Alexander confirmed he didn’t do anything to her that night, I felt kinda peaceful,
No, my wolf did.
But it seemed Alexander had other plans. “Then do it.”
“W–what?” I stuttered. How can the same person who told me to stay away from Gaia accept her request to fight her?
“Al-”
“You’ve beaten her with the staff before. You can do it again with these.” He cut me off and pointed to the dagger.
He bent down and ripped my gown till/it reached a little bit beneath my knee. “For easy movement.”
And with that he spun me around, “Don’t kill her. We need to send her back in one piece,” he whispered and gave me a little push forward.
