QUEEN AQUAMARINE’S POV
He did nothing.
Just stared.
As if waiting to see what I’d do next.
He stood before me, taller than any palace I’ve seen before in my life. Those glowing golden snake–like eyes stared straight through me, gigantic horns and purple smoke curled from his nostrils.
Is this really Alexander?
The man I had once argued with? The one who bathed me? The one who taught me to write?
“Alexander,” I said hoarsely, barely able to breathe.
He tilted his monstrous head, as if hearing my voice for the first time. His eyes narrowed, but didn’t seem like he was angry. Like he hadn’t fully come back yet.
He lowered his head and then opened his mouth wide to reveal his sharp gigantic fangs and what looked like a flaming purple ball growing in his throat.
I felt dizzy just looking at it as I felt my heart jump out of my mouth. I watched in horror as the purple flame escaped from his mouth but I was cool.
Then slowly, he stepped forward. Each step caused the earth to shake and birds to flee. But as he moved, he changed.
His wings folded and faded. His limbs shortened. His long neck went back to human proportions. The creature shifted into something–someone.
But not fully.
He was still a bit taller than I remembered. His skin was dark like red coal, with glowing gold lines that looked like they carried living fire instead of blood. His long red hair had grown loose behind his back
And the scar running down his face?
It glowed brighter than all the other gold.
My body tensed as he crouched in front of me. His voice was rough, “I’m here.”
Tears welled in my eyes.
He reached for me, but I flinched.
“You burned them all,” I whispered.
His gaze didn’t waver. “They touched you. They tried to mark what was mine.”
My stomach tightened. I remembered the flames. The screams. The vines digging into my skin. Terran’s breath on my neck.

Chapter 77
He saw my face twist. “I promised to protect you. From everything.”
“Even from yourself?” I asked, my voice barely audible.
He didn’t answer, he just lifted me and he walked towards the sound of rushing water.
As he dipped me into the water, I looked away from him, “Would you have still wanted me?”
He stopped.
“If Terran had done it? If he had gone all the way?” I whispered. My voice cracked. “Would you have left me there?”
His head turned, slowly.
“Would you?”

“I would never,” he said, voice sharp as he lifted my chin. “No being, dead or alive, can touch what belongs to me. Not without consequence.”
Tears poured from my eyes. My hands clutched at his arms, at his chest. “I just want it gone, Alex. His hands, his vines, his scent. Everything-”
His mouth crashed into mine.
The kiss was fire and punishment and desperate need.
He lifted me and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He carried me to a boulder at the heart of the stream and he set me down on it gently, then stood between my legs. His lips moved to my neck. His tongue traced the places Terran had dared to touch, as if he had seen him do it.
“I’ll burn it all off you,” he growled. “Every mark. Every memory.”
I leaned back, gasping as he continued. I didn’t know if I should be scared and push him off. I mean…. he still hasn’t changed completely.
He tugged at the torn remains of my dress, baring me completely.
“Starting here,” his head lowers to my chest, his warm breath over my sensitive nipples before he sucks one into his mouth. He circles it with his tongue, then bites down gently, marking me.
He moves to the other breast, giving it the same treatment. I feel a strange warmth spread through me at his gentle possession, even as I remind myself that this means nothing to him. My hands tangle in his hair, as he continued, “Alex-”
His hands slid up my thighs, spreading them wider. He nuzzled against my stomach, his rough tongue lapping at my skin. “And. moving down,” he growled, starting to kiss a trail lower.
He hooked his arms under my thighs and lifted my legs over his shoulders. His golden eyes locked with mine as his tongue finally reached its destination–the place Terran had touched last.
The moment I felt his hot, rough tongue lapping at my core, a scream erupted from my throat and I grabbed his horn. His golden eyes never left mine, but it made me clench repeatedly.
His tongue pushed inside me, curling and twisting as he fucked me with it aggressively.

Chapter 77
It felt…. bigger, longer, hotter than it used to. But at the back of my mind, I wasn’t sure if it was Alexander’s real tongue or the tongue of the beast.
I was so close when suddenly, he withdrew his tongue entirely.
He sat back on his heels, his chest heaving with heavy breaths. His face was glistening with my arousal. His hands reached up to grab my thighs and flip me onto my stomach roughly.
“Mine.” His voice was deep and commanding, almost inhuman. Suddenly, he stood up, grabbed my hips and lifted them high into the air without warning.
I quickly grabbed onto the edge of the rock as he positioned himself behind me. I was about to look back but he turned my head forward.
He rubbed the tip of his cock on my pussy, pressing firmly but not entering yet. Then, without any warning or gentleness, he pushed forward, burying himself in one smooth thrust.
“Ahh…!” I moaned loudly as he hit a particular spot in one move. My hands gripped the rock tightly as he began moving fast. I felt my eyes roll to the back of my head as my senses exploded.
He groaned deeply, his cock swelling inside me. I knew he was speaking but I had no idea what he was saying. My knees were trembling, just like my hands while my stomach twisted into knots that spread to my brain.
It felt……. I have no words.
He suddenly pulled out, flipped me onto my back then leaned down to kiss me roughly on the lips, his tongue invading my mouth aggressively before he pushed in again and again and again.
But no sound came out, even though my mouth was wide open. I had no strength to even scratch his back or bite him or even hold on to him.
I wasn’t dead or dying. But the pleasure had paralysed me. Physically and mentally.
He just stared at me, his gold eyes still flared but were warmer than before. I hated what I had begun to see in him sometimes. I shouldn’t be feeling this way about him… he didn’t care for me like that.
My traitorous body clenched around him as I struggled between desire and self–loathing.
With a final thrust, I started to convulse with an unwanted orgasm. His hot semen flooded my womb, mixing with my release as his fingers sank into my neck.
Then we switched places. He sat on the rock and lifted me, guiding me between his legs. “Say it,” he whispered into my ear. “Tell me who you belong to.”
“You,” I breathed.
Softness.
I felt it first. The weightless comfort of a familiar bed beneath my back and then Alexander’s scent.
Faint, but there. Like ashes, fire and that strange wildness that always made
my
chest clench.

Chapter 77
A warm aroma drifted through the air. Something savoury and rich.
Food.
I stirred slowly. But then I opened my eyes and time stopped and my heart raced.
She lowered herself to my level. Her smile, as false and taunting as ever.
“Hello, sister,” Fiona said.
My blood turned to ice.
